Wigan Athletic went to face Wolves to try and put a stop to the awful run of results of late, unfortunately a 3-1 defeat saw the Latics crash to their 9th straight loss and, with results over the weekend going in favour of our opponents, fall six points from safety. Mind you there are still 81 points up for grabs, so a long way to go yet.

There were some decent performances though, Dave Jones, Victor Moses and Franco Di Santo all looked sharp, Momo Diame was class in the middle of the park, but without doubt the standout performance was by Ali Al-Habsi in the Latics goal.

The Oman international made a series of superb stops, one in particular from Jamie O`Hara was quite incredible, so Ali is my choice for man of the match, who is yours?
