Wigan Athletic eased into the 4th round of the FA Cup with a comfortable victory at the KC Stadium against Championship side Hull City yesterday, Martinez put out a much changed side with some of the fringe players getting a chance, and boy did they take it.

Emmerson Boyce made a surprise return from injury and he had a steady afternoon, Jordi Gomez and Daniel de Ridder both got starts, de Ridder looking like he had a point to prove and ran at the Hull defence on every opportunity.

Adrian Lopez, or Piscu as he likes to be known, made his first start since his ‘official` joining last week, very comfortable on the ball and good reader of the game, made way for youngster Jordan Robinson just after the hour but had a good game up till then.

Momo Diame knocked in two goals and had an all round good game but the player who stole the show was young striker Callum McManaman, his pace and direct running troubled the Hull defence all afternoon, he created Latics first goal and scored the second with a wonderful individual effort, so McManaman is my choice for man of the match, who`s yours?
