Roberto Martinez made seven changes from the side that beat Southampton on Saturday, but they still looked a cut above as Championship promotion hopefuls, Nottingham Forest were swept aside by a buoyant Latics who raced into 3-0 half time lead and finished the game 4-1 winners
The game certainly gave a few of the fringe players a chance to shine, Stam had a good game and his cross for the opening goal by Boselli was excellent
Figueroa had a good game and his goal was something else, a typical Figgy effort from way out, I thought Jones and Watson did well in the centre of midfield and Boselli looked lively, taking his goal really well
For me though Jordi Gomez was our man of the match, he sparkled all night, his goal was top quality, scored with his right foot! He was also integral to most of what we did in an attacking sense whilst he was on the pitch and he battled when we weren`t in possession
So Gomez for me, who was your man of the match against Forest? To participate in the vote, simply access the poll on the right side of this page, select your preferred option and then hit the submit button, its that easy
