With just a week to go before the annual fixture in aid of local charity Joseph’s Goal, the final touches are being made to the Latics Legends squad.

Winger Gary Teale has today been added to the line-up, bolstering Wigan’s attacking options against the Dutch Masters.

Teale made over 150 league appearances for the club in six years under the management of Paul Jewell.

In 2007, the former Scotland international left Wigan to head to Derby County before ending his career in a player-manager role at St Mirren.

His ex-teammates Jason Jarrett, Nicky Eaden, Nathan Ellington and Emmerson Boyce are among a star-filled Latics Legends team tasked with taking on a Dutch Masters side led by Arjan de Zeeuw.

Last May the Dutch were beaten 2-0 by Latics – with Ellington bagging both goals – meaning De Zeeuw and his side are looking to settle the score this time round.

Tickets for the match at Ashton Town AFC on Friday 19 May (7:30pm kick-off) are available from the DW Stadium ticket office and are priced at £10 Adults, £5 Over 65s and £5 Under 16s.
