Friday`s annual charity match in aid of Joseph`s Goal will again see Latics Legends come up against the Dutch Masters at the home of Ashton Town AFC.

A sell-out crowd of 2,000 saw Latics defeat a Hollyoaks Xl 10-0 in May 2015 while around 1,400 were there to see Nathan Ellington score twice as the Dutch were beaten 2-0 by Wigan Athletic`s past players.

With the inclusion of The Three Amigos, it looks set to be another bumper crowd to raise money for a great cause and support a local non-league club whose Chairman is a huge ‘Tics fan.

Former Wigan midfielder Denny Landzaat will not be representing the Dutch this year due to work commitments over in the Netherlands. The man who scored the winning goal for Greece at Euro 2004, Angelos Charisteas, has – rather cheekily – been drafted in as Landzaat`s replacement. (Charisteas played for both Ajax and Feyenoord during his career, which the Dutch claim makes him eligible to play for them!)

Here is the Latics Legends squad (with no ‘keeper confirmed as of yet!)?

Graham Barrow (manager), Peter Atherton (assistant), Paul Scharner, Ian Kilford, David Lowe, Gary Teale, Nicky Eaden, Jason Jarrett, Isidro Diaz, Roberto Martinez, Jesus Seba, Graham Lancashire, Graeme Jones, Kevin Sharp, John Doolan, Michael Brown.

Tickets are currently on sale from the DW Stadium ticket office and pay on the gate will be available subject to availability. Adults tickets are priced at £10 with Concessions just £5.

Also, Issue 18 of the All Gone Latics fanzine will be on sale behind the bar in Ashton Town`s clubhouse.
