Stoke Renew Rodallega Interest

Wigan Athletic and Colombia striker Hugo Rodallega is reportedly once again the focus of interest from Premier League rival Stoke City with several news outlets reporting that Potters boss Tony Pulis is preparing a £9 million bid for last seasons leading goal scorer at the Latics.

Stoke have been linked with Rodallega since January and although they have just signed Kenwyne Jones from Sunderland for a hefty fee it would appear that Pulis requires more fire power for his strike force as he looks to make Stoke an established Premier League side.

Speaking to the press Pulis says: ‘We want to get four or five more players in.

‘We need goals in our team and we also need strong competition among our strikers if we are to continue improving at this level.’

The Latics are also heavily linked with a move for Stoke striker Tuncay and so some sort of swap deal may well be on the cards, if these moves are to come about though it is likely that if any cash adjustment is needed then that will be heading Wigans way with Tuncay valued at around £4.5 million compared to Rodallegas £9 million valuation.
