Wigan Athletic striker Jason Scotland`s proposed move to Championship club Ipswich Town is off, for the time being at least.
Roberto Martinez doesn`t want the 31 year old to move out of the DW Stadium until his replacement is brought in, Chelsea youngster Franco Di Santo was muted as being Scotlands replacement and about to join on a season long loan, but with Carlo Ancelotti and his team set to face the Latics on Saturday, Di Santo wouldn`t be allowed to play under Premier League rules even if he did sign.
Add to this the current Charles N`Zogbia situation and the fact that Victor Moses had to be substituted in Saturdays defeat to Blackpool with an injury, Martinez is short of bodies so allowing Scotland to leave this week is just not an option.
