Where are they now? An occasional feature here on Vital Latics which looks at where past players/managers have ended up after leaving Wigan Athletic. Steve Bruce, now then there’s a guy who went on to better himself, left the Latics and headed up to the North East to manage Sunderland, 2 ½ years later he was shown the door at the Stadium of Light.
Rumour has it that Brucie wanted the Wolves job, but he was after more than the six month contract on offer, well it looks like our old mate found himself out on a limb.
Fear not though, could it be that Stevie Bruce has got himself back in work at the Latics? Take a look at the photo below from Saturdays game with Villa, hmm the guy in the paramedic uniform, he looks very familiar!
