Wigan Athletic have had their home game with Manchester City due to be played at the DW Stadium on Saturday October 17th put back 25 hours to a 4pm kick-off on Sunday 18th October, the re-schedule is to accommodate Sky Sports who wish to show the game live as their prime-time Sunday game.

Last seasons corresponding fixture was also shown live on Sky with the Latics running out 2-1 winners in front of the TV camara’s, lets hope for a similar result again this new term as Roberto Martinez entertains big spending City boss Mark Hughes.

Other fixtures confirmed to be changed for the Latics but not due to TV coverage are, the away game at Everton, that has been put back 24 hours to Sunday 30th August 3pm kick-off, Spurs away also put back 24 hours to Sunday 22nd November 3 pm kick-off and finally Fulham away will now take place on Good Friday 2nd April with a 3 pm kick-off.
