Jason Roberts lines up in Blackburn colours this weekend, but hopefully it will be the blue of Wigan that`s in his heart, as he tries to foil a Charlton revival and at the same time do his former team mates a massive favour in the relegation melting pot.

Roberts, who left Wigan for £3million last summer, said: ‘It has crossed my mind that I could help Wigan.

‘I’ve a lot of good friends there and it’s a club I respect.

‘So I’ll be looking to do them a favour as well as Blackburn, it all ties in.’

Roberts` season has been plagued by injury, but his return to the side could be music to Wigan manager Paul Jewell`s ears if he can put in a goal scoring performance and help to shoot down the other Latics of Charlton.

Was it a mistake to let Roberts go last season or was it good business?
