Honduras are still on course to qualify for the 2010 World Cup following a 1-2 victory over Canada at the Saputo Stadium in Montreal last night.

Canada scored after just 4 mins with a goal by Adrian Serioux and they held their lead until half-time but two second half goals by Ramon Nunez on 47 and 56 minutes gave Honduras the win

Both Wilson Palacios and Hendry Thomas played in the game and Thomas is now just three matches short of qualifying for the work permit that will allow him to join Wigan Athletic

Wilson Palacios

Honduras are 2nd in their qualifying table and entertain Jamaica on Wednesday but the crunch game will surely be a home tie with Mexico on the 19th November the last of the group games.
