On paper this looks a very tough game, however on recent form for both sides I only see one outcome, a Latics win. (Queue the 0-3 defeat). I’ve done pretty well with predictions so far this season actually, nothing on the level of Paul Kendrick predicting a David Perkins goal last week, what’s the lottery numbers mate?
Anyway, back on topic. Wigan are looking to extend a seven match unbeaten streak. We’ve won our last six home games, which certainly gives me the confidence to believe we’ll beat everyone in this league at home.
Blackburn signed some good players in the summer, with: Bradley Dack, Richie Smallwood and Dominic Samuel all arriving at Ewood Park, but things haven’t quite clicked yet, shame. After tomorrow’s game we’ll already be 15 points above them. Promoted.
Lee Evans returns from suspension and Will Grigg remains sidelined with his hamstring injury.
I’d expect us to be unchanged from Blackpool, Max Power played well enough to warrant a place in the side vs Blackburn.
Has been in very good form recently. A big danger to any team in League One. Expecting good performances from him and Nick Powell tomorrow.
Samuel serves the first game of his three match suspension following a red card in their 3-0 win over Portsmouth last week. Corry Evans is likely to start after impressing off the bench.
Won League One player of the season in the 2015/16 season at Gillingham. Rovers payed around £1 million in the summer for the midfielder, no doubt a player with a lot of talent, scored last week against Portsmouth.
