Roma striker Shabani Nonda is being linked with a move to the JJB as Wigan Athletic look to strengthen their position at the top of the English Premier League
Nonda spent last season on loan at northwest neighbours Blackburn Rovers where he was a fans favourite scoring 7 goals in 26 appearances for Mark Hughes` team
The Congo international made his name in France with both Rennes and Monaco scoring at a rate of a goal every two games
The 30 year old striker suffered a horrific knee injury whilst at Monaco which kept him out for a year and he suffered a further two years through niggling injuries
Nonda has made no secret of the fact that he wants to return to the Premiership and he loved his time in the North West, and Hutch sent his European scout Bill Green to check out the striker
It is far easier to strengthen when you are at the top and Shabani Nonda just might fancy joing Chris Hutchings Latics revolution
