West Brom and the Latics have agreed a fee of £5.3 million for midfield player Jason Koumas

The Wales international has been the subject of transfer speculation since the end of the season when the Baggies failed to get promoted to the Premiership.

The Latics were amongst a host of clubs chasing Koumas but are the only ones to meet the valuation set by West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace.

Peace said that it would take a head turning figure for them to consider selling their star players and it appears that is exactly what Wigan have offered.

Koumas will be welcomed at the JJB, the former Tranmere Rovers player is admired by many fans at the club and his signing will be seen as a step in the right direction

Is the fee a fair price?
