Latics manager Chris Hutchings told the official web site that he is a big fan of pre-season trips as the team jetted off on the training trip to Holland.

The squad left this morning and Chris declared that it gives the new lad`s a chance to ‘bed-in`.

He went on to say that one of the reasons why the Latics have been so active in the transfer market early doors was to get the players in before this trip

Hutch claims that there is still one or two pieces of the jig-saw left to put into place before the transfer window shuts.

The one or two could possibly be West Ham`s Marlon Harewood and Fulham`s Michael Brown, although the Latics manager has stated that he wants a left back as cover for Bainesy

Good to bond or just getting away from the wife for a few days, what`s your opinion of pre-season training camps?
