Wigan Athletic have today confirmed four pre-season matches, all of which will be played away from the DW Stadium.

Latics will travel play Southport on Tuesday 18 July (7:30pm kick-off) at Haig Avenue, where in 2015 Gary Caldwell`s men won 2-0 thanks to a duo of own goals.

Next will be a trip to the Midlands to face Notts County on Saturday 22 July (3pm kick-off). The last time Wigan played at Meadow Lane was in January 2010, forcing County to an FA Cup replay courtesy of second half goals by Jason Scotland and Ben Watson after going into half time 2-0 down.

Then comes two matches linked to the signing of Josh Laurent and Omar Bogle. On Tuesday 25 July (7:30pm kick-off) the lads will go up against Hartlepool United before playing Grimsby Town on Saturday 29 July (3pm kick-off).

It will be our first trip to Grimsby`s Blundell Park stadium since October 1997 when David Lowe scored in a 2-1 defeat. The last time Wigan played Hartlepool was in Ali Al Habsi`s debut for the club; goals from Steven Caldwell, Victor Moses and Jordi Gomez sealed a 3-0 victory on that night.

More friendly matches will be confirmed in due course.
