Wigan Athletic play host to Crawley Town for the first ever time in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup. Latics are unbeaten at 14 at the DW Stadium, and have won the last six in all competitions.
Crawley meanwhile are struggling in League Two, with just two goals in the last seven games. Banker home win, right?
Paul Cook confirmed in mid-week that Michael Jacobs will be completely left out, to minimise the risk of his thigh injury reoccurring. Will Grigg returns from injury, and is expected to play some part.
A good opportunity for Colclough to impress today. I’d expect him to replace Jacobs, and against inferior opposition, he’ll be looking for a performance to impress the gaffer.
Harry Kewell will name a strong side with Panutche Camara leading the line.
Young forward with pace and power. Will be interesting to see how he fares against our solid-looking defence.
4-0. Grigg hat-trick.
