Wigan Athletic have sent their squad details to the Premier League and they have seven spaces available if they wish to bring in any out of contract players such as Guillermo Franco or Adrien Lopez Piscu.

English top-flight clubs had to submit squad details to the Premier League by 5pm today (Wednesday) with a maximum size of 25, a minimum of 8 squad members had to be ‘home grown`, which simply means that they had to be trained in England or Wales for 3 seasons before they were 21 years old.

Players who are under 21 at the turn of this year can play without being named in the squad.

So, Charles N`Zogbia, although French can be classed as home grown because he was at Newcastle from being 17 and he meets the criteria
