Ex Wigan Athletic player Peter Kennedy has decided to call a day on his playing career and concentrate full time on becoming an accountant.
Kennedy played for the Latics from 2001 – 2004 after signing from Watford and made 65 appearances scoring 2 goals one a stormer at Bristol City in the promotion winning season of 2003
During his career Kennedy also had spells with Notts County, Watford, Derby County and Peterborough.
His current manager at Ballymena Roy Walker (say what you see) said:
‘Peter decided it is too much for him with Saturday work and everything else’
‘It was always going to be a difficult situation for Peter with his job and there is also an illness in the family.’
