Wigan Athletic summer signing Hendry Thomas was refused a work permit by the Home Office because he didn`t fill the necessary requirements of playing in 75% of Honduras full international games over the past 2 years.

He has now reached that quota.

With the midweek World Cup qualifying win against Mexico Thomas has fulfilled the criteria needed by the stringent rules to qualify for the work permit and is free to join up with the Latics once the transfer window reopens on January 1st

Thomas is regarded as a very good prospect and future captain of his country, he has starred in the World Cup qualifying campaign and been instrumental in Honduras not only progressing but winning one of the toughest groups in the Concacaf region

With Thomas` international mates Wilson Palacios and Maynor Figueroa already at the club it should be an easy transition for the defensive midfield man to settle in, lets hope the waits been worth it

Vital Latics – Looking forward to seeing Hendry at the club
