Plymouth Argyles Hungarian midfield player Peter Halmosi says that he would jump at the chance to sign for Wigan Athletic.

Halmosi told Nemzeti Sport:

‘Wigan are a big-name club, it would be a great opportunity for me to challenge myself’

‘The team is not in a very good position in the Premier League at the moment but it is not a problem for me because I think a couple of won games and the team will be in a better position.

‘But of course I am a player of Plymouth where I am appreciated and I like to play here as well.’

For Latics fans this could be good news that the club are finally losing the ‘little’ tag.

With the transfer market about to open being a ‘big name’ club should allow the capture of some ‘big name’ stars.
