Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez says that his players need to build a siege mentality after watching them lose the lead with just 7 minutes remaining of Saturdays game against Everton.

A goal inspired by a lovely cross from Jean Beausejour had put the Latics in front with just 15 minutes left on the clock, but they couldn`t hold onto the lead, the Latics boss though believes if his players “keep doing the right things” they will eventually get their rewards

Speaking after the game Martinez said: ‘I told the players after the game that we need to keep doing the right things and we’ll get the rewards’

‘We all get anxious during games and in the build-up and there is plenty to be said from the outside about our position in the league.

‘But we need to build that siege mentality at the club and not let anything affect our performance.’
