Wigan Athletic supporters should applaud Nathan Ellington when he runs on to the pitch for West Brom tomorrow.
There should be no booing or abuse when The Duke returns to the JJB. We should applaud him and thank him for the job he did in helping us get where we are.
We never got the chance to say goodbye to him properly when he left in August so we should do it tomorrow, but when the whistle goes to start the match he should be treated just the same as any other opposition player.
His old strike-partner and friend Jason Roberts has also asked that Ellington should be given a good reception on Sunday.
Remember that this game is being televised live so we don’t want anything to happen that will tarnish the good name of Wigan Athletic.
