Wigan Athletic may have suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United at Old Trafford but the score line doesn`t tell the story by any means.

Latics were very much in the game until they lost Antolin Alcaraz and Hugo Rodallega to red cards in two crazy second half minutes, just a pity that we couldn`t have kept equal numbers throughout the game as it looked there was a realistic chance of getting something from the game.

Steve Gohouri and Steven Caldwell both had great games, especially in the second half when we were under the cosh, and Charles N`Zogbia once again showed his class giving Rafael Da Silva a torrid time, for me though Hendry Thomas was the Latics man of the match.

The Honduras international was magnificent throughout and was like a brick wall just in front of the back four, Thomas covered the breadth of the pitch sweeping all before him, he had a great game.

So, Hendry Thomas is my choice as man of the match, who is yours, to participate in the vote, simply access the poll on the right side of this page, select your option and hit the submit button, it`s that easy.
