Following the frustration of yesterdays loss at Blackburn it is easy to get carried away but in fairness to the Latics we were much the better side and really did deserve something from the game.

The recalled Jordi Gomez is putting last seasons nightmare performances behind him with some great displays, yesterday he was at the heart of much of what was good about our attacking play and his vision at times was excellent, he also won a fair few free-kicks.

Charles N`Zogbia was also very good running at the Blackburn defence, he scored a great free-kick and also had what looked a perfectly good goal chalked off for who knows what.

Hendry Thomas put in a good stint just in front of the back four, he was solid in the tackle and looked impassable at times.

Those are my three contenders for man of the match but who will you vote for, to participate simply access the poll on the right side of this page, select your option and then hit the submit button, it is that easy.
