How time flies, Vital Football is ten today!

Launched on October 15th 2005, Vital has grown from a single team site to a network catering for up to 1.6 million football fans a month and covering all teams.

Vital was amongst the first websites to use article comments, wow, doesn’t exactly sound radical now does it?! And obviously we also provide forums along with front page news and views articles as well as results, leagues and polls.

Within the 10 years we’ve produced more than 519,500 articles and many, many more forum posts/article comments…for that we have you to thank.

Despite the very best efforts of the recession, Vital Network Ltd has kept plugging away and with the great support of our loyal readership we’re still here and fighting whilst many have tried and failed to catch us!

Still independent, basically owned by two baldie football fans (with no big corporate company money behind us!) with a legion of contributors via editors, co-editors and forum helpers making Vital what it is – for the fans by the fans….along with – of course – you the readers and members.

We thank you all for the loyalty you have shown to Vital over the last 10 years and hope to enjoy many more football debates with you during the next 10!

Oh and look out for our re-design coming very soon including mobile friendly front article pages.

Check out the latest PWU Podcast – Family Affair

This week’s crew in the studio are Gareth, Adam, Kathryn, Rob, Simon and Barry.

We start off with the Bury ‘Off The Terrace’ report and the stats from the game.

What a game again for the travelling support, two goals, Grant Holt and Cisco Junior, no beer on sale, Flitcroft bemoaning the referee and Leon Barnett in comedy fall, it’s all here.

We have Colchester at the DW Stadium on Saturday, Kathryn steps in for the poorly Dan and delivers his preview, in typical Dan style.

Simon gives us the bookies odds, this one is all about the Latics.

Peterborough away on Tuesday and Barry’s done a preview, he’s also making the long trip and hoping for the win!
