Wigan Athletic forward Victor Moses is set to miss the trip to London to face Tottenham Hotspur this weekend due to picking up an injury in Tuesday nights Carling Cup win over Hartlepool United.
The youngster damaged ankle ligaments following a challenge from Gary Liddle that Latics boss Roberto Martinez described as “…a really, really nasty tackle from behind and he hit Victor right on the ankle…”, Moses now faces up to three weeks on the sidelines as he battles to get himself fit.
The 19 year old limped out of the Blackpool game with what was described as a calf injury on the opening day of the season and that was thought to be set to keep him sidelined for a couple of weeks at least, but Moses made a quick recovery and was able to make the bench for both the Chelsea game and the Hartlepool cup match
With the Latics squad not the biggest or strongest in terms of quality in depth let`s hope that Moses can recover quickly and get himself back into first team action sooner than expected once more.
