Two former Wigan Athletic players, Scott Sinclair and Tom Cleverley, have been named in the Team GB Olympic 18 man football squad
Sinclair spent a year on loan at the Latics from Chelsea in the 2009/10 making 18 appearances scoring just the once, whilst Cleverley spent the 2010/11 season on loan at the DW Stadium from Manchester United making 25 appearances and scoring 4 goals
Speaking about being picked for Team GB Cleverley said: ‘Throughout my career I want to experience many things’
‘The Olympics would be a fantastic part of it.’
Team GB will face Senegal, UAE and Uruguay in their group games. The opening game against Senegal is scheduled for the 26th July at Old Trafford
