Latics manager Paul Jewell has made two bids for players this week, but both have been rejected.

Jewell said: ‘We’ve made two bids for two players over the last 48 hours. One we’ve been asked to double our offer, which is outrageous really, and one we’ve been asked for another million pounds. We won’t be pursuing either because, as much as I want to strengthen the squad, hopefully we’re not in a desperate situation.’
Could you manage Wigan Athletic better than Jewell, Manchester United better than Ferguson or Chelsea better than Mourinho?
