Wigan Athletic striker Mauro Boselli, who is currently on a season long loan at Argentine club Estudiantes, could be on his way back to the Latics sooner rather than later, if reports in South America are to be believed.

It appears that there are question marks over an $800,000 tax bill and there is a bit of a dispute as to whether it is Estudiantes or Boselli himself who is liable to pay this, reports are suggesting that his loan deal may be terminated and the striker return back to England, or rival Argentina club Boca Juniors will meet the tax demand and Boselli will spend the rest of the season with them.

Members from the Federal Administration of Public Revenues are due at Estudiantes today (Wednesday) to carry out investigations. Boselli is claiming that under the terms of the loan agreement when he left Wigan to go back to his former club it was the responsibility of Estudiantes to pay the tax bill, which they haven`t done.
