Antoine Sibierski believes that Wigan Athletic could finish the new season in the top ten in the Premiership

Sibierski signed for the Latics from Newcastle United in May despite interest from our friendly neighbours from Horwich, Bolton Wanderers

The Frenchman told the club`s official web site that if the lads stick together as a team and play for the manager then there is no reason why there shouldn`t be a top ten finish

Sibierski went on to say that he was some way short of match fitness but improving all the time following his injury set back which has seen him miss most of the preseason

He went on to say that all the lads in the squad are fired up to do well this season and with the quality in there he expects the Latics to achieve a lot

Sibierski has always scored goals where ever he`s played and should prove to be a good addition to the squad

The sooner he gets fit the better although I would expect him to make the bench at least on Saturday

Do you share Sibierski`s optimism?
