Wigan Athletic players Paul Scharner and Maynor Figueroa can breathe a little easier that the automatic ban for reaching 5 yellow cards as now been lifted with both players on 4 so far this season

The FA use the rule of five yellow cards then an automatic one game ban up till the 1st of March when an amnesty comes in and the number of cards required for an automatic ban after this date is ten and then a two game suspension will be imposed.

So Scharner and Figueroa can continue getting stuck in without the fear that one more booking will mean suspension, so come Wednesday West Ham had better watch out there just might be some strong challenges coming in.
