Wigan Athletic appear to be about to bring in long time target Espanyol striker Raul Tamudo with the players agent at the DW stadium over the weekend sorting out personal terms.

Latics boss Roberto Martinez gave the Spanish club a week to agree the offer made and it looks like that has been accepted, the fee is believed to be in the region of £2 million and would see the Spanish connection grow even stronger at Wigan.

It is understood that Martinez wants to sign at least two more strikers and with the Tamudo deal looking to be done Latics scouts are busy finding the last piece of the forward jigsaw.
