Swansea City defender Angel Rangel appears to be touting himself for a move to Wigan Athletic and Premier League football if comments he has made to Wales On Line are anything to go by.

The right back says he expected Latics new boss Roberto Martinez to have taken him along with Jason Scotland and Jordi Gomez up to Lancashire and Premier League football at the DW stadium.

The 26 year old Spaniard said: “I wish him all the best but, to be honest, I did think he would ring to say he wanted to take me with him. That didn`t happen so I am just focused on Swansea now.

“There`s still time for him to call and the summer is always unpredictable in football.

“I`m disappointed Roberto hasn`t called in the sense that the Premiership is always the dream”
