Former Wigan Athletic manager Paul Jewell appears to be the favourite to take over the hot seat at the KC Stadium following Phil Brown being relieved of the managers job at Hull City.

Brown was put on gardening leave today and the rumour over on Humberside is that Latics legend Jewell is set to be named as the Tigers boss at some point this week and this could lead to a fascinating clash with Hull due at the DW Stadium to face Wigan for the penultimate game of the season
