Newcastle United have today made a club statement reminding their fans that the away section at the DW Stadium is completely sold out and not to travel to Wigan if they don’t have a ticket for the game, despite what their manager, Alan Pardew reportedly said during the week

This follows an official statement by the Latics saying virtually the same thing. The Newcastle United club statement reads: ‘With regards to our Barclays Premier League fixture at Wigan on Saturday, Newcastle United would like to make it known that all tickets for the away section of the DW Stadium have sold out.

‘As with all away fixtures, we would like to remind our fans not to travel to the north-west for this weekend’s game unless you have a match ticket for the away section of the stadium.’
