Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho could be in trouble with the FA after calling Lee McCulloch a cheat.

David Connolly let the ball run out of play after McCulloch was injured in a clash with Joe Cole. However, Jose Mourinho told Gallas not to return the ball to Wigan as is the custom in these situations.

After the match Jose Mourinho said:-
‘I told Gallas to keep the ball, fair play is not to cheat. We know fair play, when they cheated we are not stupid. It is one thing to be injured, another thing to pretend to be injured.’

Mourinho’s remarks could get him into trouble with the Football Association. In March, he was fined £5,000 and warned about his future conduct by the FA after accusing Manchester United players of cheating in a League Cup semi-final in January.

PAul Jewell commented:-
‘They didn’t even give us the ball back when we kicked it out. When we kick the ball out when one of our players is injured and they keep it, it just shows how much they must fear us. I just thought it was a bit unsporting of Chelsea to do that. I think their the manager told them to keep it. It’s disappointing.’
