Wigan Athletic attacker Victor Moses says that the playing staff were all disappointed with last weeks defeat to Bolton, but he says that they need to pick themselves up this Saturday when the Latics make the journey to the North East to face Newcastle United.

Moses, speaking to the Wigan Evening Post, said that it will be a big test at St. James’ Park and the Latics will need to be full of belief if they are to get a result, he says that Newcastle have been impressive so far this season, but it’s up to the Latics to put in a performance.

Moses said: “Obviously we were all disappointed with the result at the weekend, but it’s up to us to pick ourselves up and get a least a point at Newcastle”

“It’s a massive test but one we’re all looking forward to.

“It’ll be a very tough game, because they’re still unbeaten this season, but we need to go there full of belief that we can get a result or there’s no point.

“I’ve been very impressed with Newcastle this year – to still be unbeaten is a great record.

“But it’s all about us on the day and whether we can come up with a performance.”

“We’re still staying positive, because it’s still a very early point of the season and there’s still a lot of games to go.”
