Wigan Athletic and Egypt striker Mido was voted Man of the Match in Saturday`s game for the Latics against Arsenal by visitors to Vital Wigan

Mido`s superb display was possibly his best game for the Latics since joining from Middlesbrough on loan in January, he played the lone striker and caused untold problems for the Arsenal defence, holding the ball very well, bringing in others and of course he scored the goal that put us 1-0 ahead

Unfortunately he had to leave the game early getting injured on the hour, challenging Arsenal keeper Fabrianski for a high ball which was eventually cleared off the line by Arsenal defender Gibbs, the Latics really fell away once he`d left the pitch.

For the record the voting went:

Mido – 81%
Valencia – 8%
Kirkland – 4%

The new poll is available for you to vote in and it is on the right side of this page and its asking do we need this 2 week break

The Latics have been turned over in their last 2 games but due to Manchester United`s participation we have no game this weekend and the next match is Blackburn away on the 20th April, so is it a good thing to have the break giving Steve Bruce and his coaching team time to work on the lads and get them bad traits coached out, or would it be better to have got straight back in there?

To vote just pick your choice and then hit the submit button, its that easy
