Latics number 17 Michael Jacobs certainly made a big impact on the season, even though he spent almost three months on the sidelines with an injury picked up away at Crew in January.

With ten goals and seven assists the former Wolves, Derby and Northampton man made his quality tell in his first campaign at the DW Stadium. He had a very good understanding with the main man Will Grigg and set up some of the Northern International’s goals with skill and, in some cases bravery and determination.

Jacobs will be an integral part of our assault on the Championship this coming season, to whet our appetite let’s take a look back at his goals and assists from the last one, a big thanks to Frank Ford for compiling the video below:
