Word coming out of the JJB suggests that Wigan Athletic skipper Mario Melchiot is looking for a move back home to Holland this summer
The Dutch international full back is said to be disillusioned at the Latics with a lack of ambition shown by the club and he has allegedly had several run-ins with manager Steve Bruce this season culminating with him being dropped on a few occasions lately the Blackburn game when he was left out of the squad completely for ‘tactical` reasons.
Melchiot, who is 31, has just one year left on his contract and the club may find it prudent to allow him his wish and get some cash from a transfer sale to one of the Netherlands top clubs like AZ Alkmaar, Ajax, Feyenoord or PSV who all would snatch up a player of his experience and class.
