On Sky

The game that nobody wanted, and we certainly didn’t want 48 hours after the last match against West Brom.

Vital Quotes:

Leeds United Team News:

No new injuries or suspensions. Manager Kevin Blackwell has said that he may make changes to give some players a game.

Player to watch: Rob Hulse

Let’s hope he doesn’t get lucky again.

Wigan Athletic Team News:

Wigan Athletic’s injury and fatigue crisis is compounded by Stephane Henchoz’s suspension after 5 yellow cards and Paul Scharner is ineligible to play because he wasn’t registered in time for the original match. Added to that this is the Latics’ 2nd game in just over 48 hours after Leeds and the FA refused to move the fixture to Wednesday.

Wigan haven’t had a seven day gap between matches since the beginning of December.

The five bench warmers from Sunday are almost certain to start along with anyone else who can still stand up. I hope McCulloch is rested because he’s looked shattered in the last two matches, but he’s the type of player who will always give it a go if asked.

Player to watch: Andreas Johansson

Always looks good when he comes on, I can’t understand why Jewell hasn’t tried him up front with Roberts in the absence of Camara and Connolly.
