Wigan Athletic youngster Jonathan Breeze has been selected to represent Northern Ireland under 17`s in the upcoming ‘Copa Del Atlantico’ in Gran Canaria which is set to start on 3rd February.
Breeze joined Latics in the summer following 10 years at Liverpool and the promising midfield player is happy at been given a chance to progress at the JJB, he said:
‘Liverpool gave me a fantastic platform but now I want to progress here at Wigan.Now my ambition is to play as many Youth Team games as possible and try to push my way into the reserves.’
Latics youth team boss Dave Watson is delighted with the progress Breeze has made and he is made up with the recognition and experience he is about to gain by attending this tournament, Watson said:
‘I’m made up for the lad. He’s a great worker with a good attitude and this will be fantastic experience for him, not only to play at that level, but also to be away with a squad and get experience of a tournament.’
