Win, win, win, this seems to be a word that is missing from the Latics vocabulary at the moment, if ever it was to find its way back in the language spoken at the DW Stadium today is the day when that needs to happen

Eleven draws this season tell their own story as to why Roberto Martinez finds his team in the bottom three, six of those draws have come at home, if half of those had been wins, Liverpool, Sunderland and Fulham spring to mind, then we`d be looking at today`s game in a totally different light.

With a run of tough games approaching three points is essential from this game, it will be anything but easy against a Rovers side that have found good form under Steve Kean.

When Sam Allardyce was sacked many tipped Rovers for relegation but Kean has turned the club around and they now sit in 9th spot in the table.

What The Bosses Say:

Latics boss Roberto Martinez:

“They are a team that plays with real confidence and they want to get on the ball

“The strengths that they had at the start of the season are still there, deadball situations with kicks and free-kicks from Robinson, Pederson and the long throws, so we`ll have to be aware.”

Rovers striker Jason Roberts:

‘I know Wigan are having a hard time at the moment and I do have really big feelings for the club.

‘I wouldn’t want to be in a position where I could be in a position to hurt their season.

‘What happened at Wigan was special and will probably never happen for me again in the way it did there.

‘It was a special time and special people ‘It is a club I will always have feelings for.’
