Well what can you apart from shit or bust.

Bristol City always score, so we will need to bang in at least 2 for the win, come 5pm we will all be feeling exceedingly happy or, the alternative isn’t worth contemplating as far as our chances of this campaign are concerned, if we can’t get fired up and at the opposition in this game then we may as well as forget it.

Up the tics!

What The Bosses Say:

Latics boss Warren Joyce:

”It’s a big game of course it is, an opportunity for three points, but we have to approach the game as we do every one, with the mentality of wanting to win and setting up to do just that.

”They have threats in their side that we will have to deal with, and it’s a case of the players knowing their jobs, winning their individual battles and matching them physically. We will prepare thoroughly as we always do.

”As a defensive unit we have been really solid, ever since I came to the club really, as a team we have defended really well, and that has to be the first building block.

”We all want the team to score goals, that is obvious, and it doesn’t matter where those goals come from.

”We are creating enough chances, and we need to find the quality required at the right time to convert them. We need to be ruthless when those chances come along.”

”I don`t care if it’s a cliche, but the supporters are and always will be the 12th man. The atmosphere here in the derby against Preston was superb and we need that again. Players are human beings, they respond to encouragement and when they feel the crowd behind them it gives them a big lift.”

Bristol City boss Lee Johnson:

”The game gives us a chance of jumping out of the relegation zone, which is what we all want”

”Wigan are a decent side and a club we respect, but we want to go there and win the game.

”The attitude to attack was good in the second half on Tuesday night and we need that same attacking intent”

”Our focus is always on the next game, the key is to maintain our Championship status. It could be three, four, five or even six wins we require. We just don`t know.

”I haven’t set a points target for the players. We know this is a big game and that’s what we’re focused on.”

Wigan Athletic Team News:

Bristol City Team News:

Gary O’Neill is rated 50/50 but Tammy Abraham and Fabian Giefer should return to the squad.

Bristol City possible – Fielding, Vyner, Flint, Wright, Bryan, Smith, Pack, Cotterill, O’Dowda, Abraham, Wilbraham
