Keeping up the World Cup theme, it’ll be a case of ‘Back Home’ as Uwe Rösler takes his Latics squad on a tour of Germany as part of their preseason preparations, reports the Wigan Evening Post.

Latics Chief Executive Jonathan Jackson says that there will be four games, two of which will be against well known German clubs – ‘They are high-profile German teams who we’ll be playing which will be a big test, as well as two games against local opposition.’

The final preparations are being laid for the trip which is scheduled for the end of July and Jackson is encouraging supporters, once the finer details are made public, to follow the team and give their support over in Germany to get a glimpse of Rösler’s new look side.

Jonathan Jackson said – ‘That’s all coming together, and we would encourage any fans who would want to come over and support us on another European tour’
