Wigan Athletic are closing in on a deal to bring Wolves winger Adam Hammill to the DW Stadium, just 12 months after the former Liverpool trainee joined Mick McCarthy`s men from Barnsley.

Hammill was highly sort after last season with a number of clubs chasing his signature before he eventual signed for Wolves, but after making only 14 appearances since his January 2011 move, it appears that the 23 year old is surplus to requirements at Molineux.
