Wigan Athletic owner Dave Whelan has declared that the Latics are ready to do business with Chelsea for star striker Victor Moses

Having already knocked back three offers from Chelsea, including one offer of cash plus young midfielder Josh McEarchan, Whelan says that the amount needed to secure the transfer of Moses is £10 million cash, though he admits that an £8 million down payment plus add-ons would be ok

Speaking to the media Whelan said: ‘I shall be finding out today whether Chelsea will pay cash because we are not interested in picking up one of their players on loan or in part exchange.

“Chelsea know the price, we`re looking to reach £10m.

‘If that means £8m and some add-ons, that is fine.”

“The lad knows that we want him to stay but that we won’t stand in his way either.”
