Wigan Athletic have offered professional terms at the club to six of their 2015/16 Scholars.

The players, goalkeeper Kelland Absalom, striker James Barrigan, defender Arnie Baxendale, defender Luke Burke, midfielder Josh Gregory and defender Alex Lingard, have all featured for both the under 18s and the Development Squad this past season and made a big enough impression on the coaching staff to be offered pro contracts.

The youngsters have enjoyed a great season progressing to the 5th round of the FA Youth cup for the first time in the clubs history, they also won the Youth Alliance league title and helped the Development Squad finish 2nd in the Final Third Development League.
