Wigan Athletic are once again being linked with a move for Getafe striker Adrian Colunga with several newspapers claiming that the Latics have made a £3million bid.

Early last summer it was speculated that Colunga would make his way to the DW Stadium following a successful loan spell at Real Zaragoza from Recreativo de Huelva that saw the 26 year old score 7 goals in 16 appearances, but despite a confirmed interest from the Latics, Colunga instead signed for La Liga club Getafe on the 6th August.

Now it would appear that the 5` 7″ striker is back on the wanted list with reports stating that Latics boss Roberto Martinez has made an official bid, but Getafe President Angel Torres doesn`t seem too keen and has made remarks indicating that he will be reluctant to sell his star striker.

Torres said: “I don’t want him to go, but the decision rests with our coach Luis Garcia”

“Colunga could score 12 or 14 goals this season and be very valuable to the club.”
